Deborah Lupard has been a Tribeca resident since the 1970s. She arrived in the neighborhood as a student at NYU and stayed ever since. She watched the area flourish across decades while creating a life and routine for herself. Her career in film unfolded with the same momentum; from actress to production assistant, then to assistant director, working alongside Martin Scorsese, Oliver Stone, and Adrian Lyne.
At the center of her home lives a rug by Carini Lang. For Deborah, it is not just a floor covering but also a work of art, held with the same regard as anything else in her collection. In this video, she speaks to the personality and effects of the rug in her space.
